Outfit finder: dress for your shape and the occasion
Looking good does not have to cost much. Clothes that fit, suit the occasion and flatter your shape always look sharper than expensive pieces that hang off you. Answer the two questions below, then read four short sections to get the cut and size right.
What is the occasion?
What are you missing most?
Petite frames: lengthen the legs
High-waisted bottoms with a tucked-in top or a crop top make your legs look longer. Straight trousers that end at the ankle work better than very wide legs that drag on the floor. Oversized tees still work if you half-tuck them.
Curvy frames: fluid fabrics, relaxed cuts
Light, fluid fabrics such as linen blends and soft jersey are more flattering than stiff, heavy ones. Shift dresses, high-waisted wide-leg trousers and V-necks are safe choices. Avoid clothes that are either skin-tight or very baggy.
Broad shoulders or wider hips: balance it out
Broad shoulders suit V-necks, wide-strap tops and flared skirts that add volume below. Wider hips suit tops with detail at the shoulder, dark straight-leg trousers and A-line skirts.
Buying online: measure first, read the shop's chart
Every shop uses its own pattern, so one shop's M can be another's L. Measure your bust, waist and hips and compare them with the chart on the product page. How to measure is in our clothing size guide.
